What Is My Photography Style?
I spend way too much time thinking about how I should define my photography style.
You see, it's quite difficult for me because I've never sat down and thought to myself, 'I know, I'll call myself a reportage wedding photographer, a portrait photographer, a documentary wedding photographer, an alternative wedding photographer, or a classic family photographer, or even a good old traditional photographer'!
I know I must have a style because I've been photographing for years!
What I can do is tell you how I approach my photography, and how you will feel about your photographs, whether that's at your wedding, or your family portrait session or event.
A Relaxed & Unobtrusive Approach
I have a relaxed and unobtrusive approach to photographing people, as I really want your photographs to be as natural as possible. You will love how you look!
I'm love watching what's going on, photographing those wonderful moments that are playing out around me. They will always present themselves, but no two moments are the same! You will get photographs that are natural, show real life and real emotions.
For example, at a wedding, 90% of my time will be photographing the day as it presents itself to me, with no intervention.
I will direct a photograph when needed, but I’ll do it in a way that doesn’t take up time. It’ll be natural, easy going and painless.
Emotions! That's an important one! I absolutely love photographing the happiness, love, fun, laughter, and tears that are part of everyday life.
I feel privileged, knowing that I am creating a part of your family nostalgia and future memories. You'll love your photographs today, but I promise you that they'll become more and more valuable as time goes on.
