The blink of an eye…grown up before you know it!

Babies. They grow up very quickly you know! The cliches are right and before you know it they’re at school!

I photograph babies all the time, and get a lot of enquiries from people saying that they’ve been meaning to call for ages but busy baby life just gets in the way.

I can guarantee that there are many many more people who always meant to call but never got round to it. The moment has gone then, forever – baby is now walking and you’re looking at which pre-school is the one for you!

I do remember that from when my two girls were babies – it’s a whirlwind of a time, and there’s plenty to be done each day. I also remember noticing (almost on a daily basis) that they change and grow so fast! Different from one day to the next.

If you’re thinking of having professional photographs taken of your baby, then you really need to just do it. If it’s not done today that moment has gone for good. I know this sounds like a bit of a sales pitch with me trying to get you to feel so guilty that you just have to to call me, but it’s all so true. Tomorrow your baby will have changed. In a week, a little more, and in a month the changes will be huge!

When is the best time to photograph your baby?

If you’re wanting the newborn look then it’s within days of birth. Three and six months are great, and at nine months your baby is moving around a lot more! At 12 months we’re close to walking and then that’s it, the baby stage is over! And we’re into toddler years…just like that, in the blink of an eye!

You can book an individual session, or, as many people do, you can book a ‘baby’s first year’ package where we have three or four photography sessions over the course of a year.

All you need to do is call me for a chat and we can work out a time that suits you and your baby. I’m used to the nuances of photographing babies, and am used to waiting while they feed and sleep and do what babies do.

In fact a lot of my clients call me before their baby is born. If you’re expecting, then you have the option to purchase a photography session now, and we can arrange the session date later.
